About the Department
Cardiovascular ICU is a 13-bed unit that focuses on the advanced care of cardiology and cardiothoracic surgical patients who have experienced procedural and post-surgical intervention. This unit requires a strong knowledge base of hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive pressor support, invasive cardiac and lung assistive devices and the beginning steps of rehabilitating a cardiac patient. We also manage the care of ECMO patients who require extensive support for cardiac and/or lung disease/trauma.
Lead the charge in delivering exceptional, compassionate patient care that makes a real difference! You'll be the coordinator and champion of quality care, using your nursing expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs. Delegate and supervise care with confidence, document like a pro, and empower patients and families with the knowledge they need to thrive.
Keep the communication flowing—you'll be the vital link between patients, families, and the entire healthcare team, ensuring everyone's on the same page. When things don't go according to plan, you'll jump into problem-solving mode, identify creative solutions, and champion their implementation to get patients back on track toward their goals.

Role Overview
As a Float Registered Nurse , you will provide leadership in delivering safe, high-quality, compassionate patient care across a variety of clinical settings. Using the nursing process, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for patients and their families. You will collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, communicate effectively, and use clinical judgment to address patient needs and support positive outcomes.
